New Chairman Named for Cirquent's Supervisory Board

Munich, 27th January 2010 – Paul Shelton, aged 57, is to be appointed chairman of Cirquent’s supervisory board. A long-standing consultant and partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and IBM Business Consulting Services, Paul Shelton is well acquainted with the international technology and finance sectors. At present, as an experienced executive, he is a board member of several software and service companies and serves as a Governor of Birkbeck College, University of London.
From 1974, the designated supervisory board chairman, Paul Shelton, held various senior positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), and was appointed partner in 1985. After their acquisition by IBM in 2002, Paul Shelton held a number of executive positions with IBM Business Consulting Services. He worked in both the technology and the financial services sectors, served in human resources at the European board level, and has experience in developing strategies and operating business models for global enterprises.
Subject to the Cirquent supervisory board’s approval, Paul Shelton will follow the present chairman, Peter Broicher, in March of 2010. In his long-standing role as executive director, Broicher had succeeded in expanding the company’s market position through strategic acquisitions. He was responsible for the successful introduction of the Cirquent brand two years ago and also set the course for the financial engagement of Cirquent’s Japanese shareholder, NTT Data Group. As reflected in the Lünendonk List, Cirquent has established itself among the top ten German consulting and systems integration companies. Since 2008, the NTT Data Group owns a 72.9 per cent share of the company while the German BMW Group holds a share of 25.1 per cent.
